LET ME ASK.. TO what extent is getting very clear on your Personal Development Important?
Is it possible that you can (a) get the skills, (b) get the cert, (c) get the the invitation BUT FAIL to get the recognition?
OR HAVE you been in that position where you know that you can do the job BUT are unable to convince anyone that you can?
OR DO YOU RECALL getting the invite.. BUT fail the interview...
OR DO YOU KNOW at least one person who got the job... BUT got overlooked for promotion...
OR DO YOU recall feeling embarrassed for last person in the candidate pool who got chosen because they were the last one left standing and there was no one left to choose from?
Personal Development is not clear cut because your job is just one area of your wheel of life. Your employer may be able to suggest areas to work on but can you really trust they won't harbour your weaknesses in their subconscious. That's why many feel unable to trust being candid at work. How can they really know it won't be used against them.
Still to what extent is getting clear on your Personal Development Important?
